ABOUT
Ben Davis has always been a legendary name in workwear, but unlike Carhartt, Levi’s, or Dickies, it hasn’t adapted to today’s style shifts. For my rebrand, I kept the logo’s iconic presence while giving it a modern update that leans more toward streetwear, reflecting the direction many workwear brands have taken. I also introduced a refreshed color system to give the brand a stronger visual identity and broader appeal. The goal was to honor its roots while making it relevant again, bridging heritage with a new generation of wearers and ensuring Ben Davis stands out in both workwear and lifestyle markets.
PROCESS
For this stage of the process, I chose to highlight some of my early concept explorations. My professor and I decided not to move forward with this direction, as it felt too far from the original design. Since my goal was to modernize the look, not reinvent it, we agreed it could be mistaken for a person rather than a chimpanzee.
